What “gazogene” means

Wikipedia

The gasogene is a late Victorian device for producing carbonated water. It consists of two linked glass globes: the lower contained water or other drink to be made fizzy, the upper a mixture of tartaric acid and sodium bicarbonate that reacts to produce carbon dioxide. The produced gas pushes the liquid in the lower container up a tube and out of the device. The globes are surrounded by a wicker or wire protective mesh, as they have a tendency to explode.

every network with a public tag surface

Follow #gazogene straight to each platform’s own tag page. Where a platform publishes open data we measure it above; the rest lock their numbers behind paid APIs, so we link rather than guess.

Every number above is measured from a named public API at the shown fetch time. Nothing is estimated or extrapolated. Platforms that lock their data behind paid APIs are not shown. Agents: the same numbers, as JSON, at /api/hashtags/gazogene
